SYNOPSIS
Thirty something Jérémie returns to Saint-Martial in the Massif Central to attend the funeral of an old friend. In this unspoken village, he comes face to face with rumours and suspicions, until he commits the irreparable and finds himself at the heart of a police investigation. Between lies and misunderstandings, in a play on language that is his secret, Alain Guiraudie takes up the film noir genre for the first time and twists its codes with glee.
