The presentation at the 66th Locarno Film Festival is the beginning of the journey of Story of my death throughout the different international film festivals. Coproduced by Andergraun Films and Capricci Films, the film has been included in the official competition section Concorso Internazionale. This section represents the most innovating proposals in contemporary cinema along with new works by Hong Sang Soo, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Shinji Aoyama, Claire Denis or Corneliu Porumboiu.

Synopsis

Casanova meets a new servant who will witness his last moments in life. From a Swiss castle with its gallant and libertine Eighteenth Century atmosphere, to his final days spent in poor and shadowy Northern lands. There, his rationalist way of thinking and frivolous and mundane world will succumb to and new, violent, occult and romantic force, represented by Dracula and his eternal power.
