MUTACIONES. ARTISTIC INTERVENTIONS IN MUSEUMS
ALBERT SERRA IN THE MUSEUM OF CERVANTES' BIRTHPLACE
15 June 2018
"Mutations. Artistic interventions in museums" presents the screening of the feature film "Honor de cavalleria" (2006) by Albert Serra, one of the artists participating in this artistic programme.
Serra places two subjects to transform and inhabit Cervantes' work in a film in which irremediably quixotic but very personal actions arise. In Serra's filmic proposal there is no construction of time or space, the important chapters of Cervantes' work are not there, Sancho is a silent squire with no trace of his characteristic verbiage...
"It is not made for regular spectators or impatient audiences. One of the most daring, courageous and decidedly Martian proposals born of Catalan cinema in many, many years." M. Torreiro. El País Newspaper.
Screening of "Honor de cavalleria" and meeting with its director, Albert Serra
Date and time: Friday 15 June, 4 p.m.
